10 Days Amazing Japan Trip - Part 3 : Alpine route, Shirakawa-go and Takayama Old Town

[Kurobe Dam]

Another day has come, today we had a really hectic schedule. Because There's so many place we must visit today and the Tour guide also gave us a warning to be back in the bus on time. Our first plan started with the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. It's a one way tour with 360o view cable car and a bus to sightseeing the beauty of Kurobe dam and Alpine Landscape.

Today's weather were not good, it was a lil' bit rainy so that's why we brought and used umbrella on the way to the Alpine route.

Because so many people went there, after we got our ticket. The guide told us to not come late because every ticket has it own scheduled time.

Our first stop was the Kurobe Dam. I don't really know why they brought us here, It's just a dam and nothing we could do unless taking picture. So we just go sightseeing and took some picture. Well, the dam was pretty magnificent too and have a really nice scenery.

Then near that, we had our lunch. Nothing much to describe about the restaurant since everything looks the same in Japan lol. But one thing that really caught my attention was their beef.

[Beef]

I forgot what the name of the dish, but let me describe it a little, it was some slice of beef cooked on the top of charcoal and on the top of the beef, they put some sauce ( that tasted really similar with Indonesian's sauce called Tauco ), it was a bit salty and tasted really good.

[Superb]

After that, because we were on time and even earlier than the schedule, the tour guide gave us an extra tour. So we were taken to a big dept store on the countryside that sold so many things, but we were looking for the snacks only, because the price are slightly cheaper.

[Snacks]

They sold so many unique and rare snacks in here, so many new things that I would love to eat them all but too bad even the price are cheaper but when you convert it to IDR, it's still expensive! :(

Wohpp! We bought a lot of Kit Kat too, many variants of flavors such as green tea, dark chocolate, sakura sencha, cheesecake and etc. We continued our journey moving on to the next city and had our buffet dinner on the hotel also.

On the next morning, after we had our breakfast at the hotel, we continued to continue to the famous and one of the world heritage icon in Japan, yeapp it was Shirakawa-go village. The scenery was amazing. The house that really looks like triangle shape is really well made. All of my friends told me that it was really good when winter but I came at the mid summer so the scenery was a bit different but still looks good and had a different vibe.

In this village, most of the houses are souvenir and gift shop, and there's a mascot that you'll notice when you visit the shop because they sell it everywhere.

By the way, if you happened to be here, just some tips for you whose a coffee lover. You could visit coffee Hina. It was a lil' bit far from the main gate but it was worth to try. They have so many variant of coffee, and they brew it really good. If you are tired of walking around, you could stay in here to relax a bit and continue your journey.

It was a good time there, but I felt so tired back then and our next destination was the Takayama Old Town. It is an old town of Japan that still last until now. The main material was made by a strong old brown wood that's why this place looks so dark even in the sunny day!

What's interesting about this place was their traditional carriage that you could try to going around the Takayama Town.

And like I said before, I was too tired that time so I separated myself from my mom and just chillin' around in one of the cafe at that area. I only bought an orange crepes, but it didn't taste so good. Nothing much I did in here so let's moving on to the last place of this post.

[Restaurant]

Yeapppp! It was dinner, so today's dinner was very special because this is a famous restaurant that often full booked so we must be in time for our dinner. It was a Japanese all you can eat buffet like bbq, sushi, and sashimi.
